Shendish ManorWe enjoyed our time at Shendish Manor and so thought we would write to thank everyone at Your Golf Travel for the organisation and professional service that went in to our weekend golf break.

The course at Shendish Manor is quite generous compared with others I have played. With wide fairways and large greens there is definitely margin for error. The course is also a bit on the short side and I was even able to drive a couple of par 4 greens. There is no water on the course and there are very few bunkers. Combine all of this with its superb condition and a good score is there for the taking…as long as you don’t take the closing stretch of holes for granted! The fairways were well manicured and the greens were very receptive and true. All in all it is a very well presented course set in mature woodland that will provide a test to the higher handicapped players and an enjoyable, albeit easy, experience for more experienced players.

Shendish Manor GolfThe Hotel and the separate Club House which stand side by side are built in the Jacobean style and are magnificent and imposing buildings. The bedrooms are in a newly built extension and are very spacious and well presented with all modern amenities required to enjoy a comfortable stay. The hotel is approached via a long driveway from the Kings Langley to Hemel Hempstead road. It is easy to find and only about 10 minutes from the M25 or 15 minutes from the M1. Shendish Manor is a great venue of you are looking for a golf break in London.

The food and service in the Hotel is very acceptable for a venue of this type and there is a friendly bar in the Clubhouse where the party can relax and mark up the cards after the game.

Parking is generous for both hotel and clubhouse. Buggies are available and the clubhouse staff are very attentive and friendly when YGT guests arrive.

I give this resort 7 out of 10 as I prefer a more challenging course but in all other regards the venue is top class.
